Antique Scottish Arts & Crafts / Jacobean Revival Carved Oak Oval Mirror C.1880

A characterful antique wall mirror in deeply carved dark oak, the oval bevelled plate set within a broad frame richly decorated throughout with acanthus leaf scrollwork, foliate volutes, and stylised floral bosses. The shaped surround terminates in a stepped cartouche crest at the top and a shield-form apron below, both carved en suite, lending the piece a strong architectural presence consistent with the Jacobean Revival taste that ran parallel to the broader Arts & Crafts movement in late Victorian Britain.

In good condition commensurate with age.
